Owen recently received In a Marietta Reads medallion from school and had his picture posted on the website. He received this for getting to the top level of points in the Accelerated Reader program. After reading a book, the kids use the Accelerated Reader computer program to take a test that will measure reading comprehension. They get points based on the difficulty of the book and performance on the Accelerated Reader tests. He was one of 2 kindergartners and 22 kids total to be honored this quarter and he was very proud showing off his medallion and his Marietta Reads water bottle, so be sure to ask him about it.
